A New Generation Takes Over at ALFA Klebstoffe AG
A relay baton changes hands in seconds. Yet in that moment lies a long journey of preparation, precision, and responsibility. Just before year end, ALFA Klebstoffe AG experienced exactly that moment: with the symbolic passing of the baton, a milestone in the company’s history was marked and the transition to the third generation was sealed.
Thomas Simmler and Maya Bänninger are handing the family business over to their sons, Andri Simmler and Christian Bänninger.
In doing so, ALFA Klebstoffe continues a story that began in 1972 with Emil Simmler and has been shaped ever since by a clear commitment to quality and the courage to innovate.
Thomas Simmler explained what underpinned this step:
“Maya and I took over ALFA from our father in 2001 and grew the business together over the course of many years. Now we’re deliberately passing responsibility on to Andri and Christian with confidence. We know they’ll have the courage to take new steps, a keen feel for our customers, and strong teamwork.”
During the transition period, Thomas Simmler will continue to serve as Managing Director and CEO.
Andri Simmler (Co-CSO) and Christian Bänninger (COO) have been part of the company for many years. They’re thoroughly familiar with the products and customers, and above all, they live ALFA’s culture. Andri Simmler summed up their ambition for the next chapter:
