Low Carbon Footprint Since the ’90s. Now with a Report.
SIMALFA® has been the benchmark for sustainable foam bonding from day one. Water-based, low-emission, environmentally sound. Not as a response to market pressure, but as the foundation of our product development.
While others built their business models on solvent-based adhesives, water-based was the only option for SIMALFA® from the very beginning.
No exceptions. No compromises.
What the industry celebrates as progress today has been our mission since the ’90s.
What’s Behind the PCF Report?
The Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) quantifies the greenhouse gas emissions of a product from raw material extraction to the factory gate (cradle-to-gate), expressed in kg CO₂e.
Our PCF values are calculated using the TACK tool, whose methodology has been independently verified by DEKRA. Calculations follow ISO 14067 and the TfS PCF Guideline. Every report fully documents methodology, system boundaries, and assumptions ready for immediate use in Scope 3 reporting and procurement tenders. Valid, transparent, and calculated according to recognized industry standards not proprietary methods.
What This Means for Our Customers
Water-based SIMALFA® adhesives deliver a measurable, meaningful PCF advantage over solvent-based systems. That’s always been the case. Now we have the numbers to prove it.
Reports are now available for all products with a calculated PCF. Request yours directly through the Product Finder.
